Making Category Security Rules

If you select Use a rule and then click Edit rule when setting up category security, the Category Security Rule page appears. This displays all the indexes for the selected category.

Use this page to set up rules that define which documents within the category the selected user or group is to be permitted access. For example, you could set up a rule to allow certain users to view invoices only from a specific supplier.

To set up a security rule:

  1. On the Category Security Rule page, enter the appropriate values for the indexes in the category, just as when searching for a document.
  2. Click Save.
