Uploading Documents

Use the Upload page to place individual documents in the Transform Content Center store.

You must have sufficient access rights to a category to upload documents to it. An administrator can grant these access rights.

You can control the files that are allowed to be uploaded into the Transform Content Center store using the configuration items DocumentUploadWhitelist and DocumentUploadAVLocation held in the FS_CONFIGURATION table of the Transform Content Center database. Refer to the Advanced Installation and Configuration guide for more details.

To upload a document:

  1. On the Upload tab, select the Category in which to store the document.
  2. Enter the index values for the document.

    Enter values for all required indexes, as well as for any optional indexes that you want to use as search criteria.

    Enter the document type directly to select a document type.

    You can enter dates and time directly, or use the date/time picker to select a date and time.

    When you enter dates directly, enter them in the format YYYY-MM-DD. Enter times in the hh:mm:ss format.

    If an index is multi-value enabled, you can enter more than one index value as search criteria for the document. From the Separator list, select how to separate the index values entered.

  3. Click Browse, navigate to the document you want to upload, select the document, and then click Open.
  4. Click Upload.

The document is stored in the specified category with the specified index values.
